Rawson in Blaauwberg launch another luxury complex 2008-01-02
Mike Abrahamse, franchisee principal of the Rawson Properties Blaauwberg franchise, has once again been appointed the sole agent for a development by Blouberg Coastal Properties Trust, a company headed up by Gary Vos.

“It is,” said Abrahamse, “always a pleasure to work for this developer. Their developments always sell fast, possibly because the quality of the design and of the finishes are in a class of their own.”

Previously Abrahamse and his team sold out “The Breakers” (6 units), "Bay Breeze" (6 units) for the same developers and are currently all-but sold out on their “Sandy Bay” at Waves Edge (40 units).

Now they are marketing “Spring Tide”. This has eight two and three bedroom luxury apartments, “a hop, a skip and a jump” (70 metres) from Blaauwberg’s famous beaches and within walking distance to its thriving restaurant/coffee shop/bistro CBD.

Although the new three storey building, designed by Three Arch Projects is, says Abrahamse, uncompromisingly upmarket and makes use of such quality materials as granite, stainless steel and mahogany woods, it is, he says, priced very competitively: from R995 000 to R1 550 000. All units come with a lock-up garage (some with double garages). Security is tight, entrance to the block being only possible to those with electronic keys.

“Lifestyle investors,” said Abrahamse, “are showing a strong interest because apartments of this standard in this area rent out at R1 000 per day in the holiday season and are ideal for those retirees who prefer an urban but beach oriented to a rural lifestyle.”
Abrahamse expects, he said, to be sold out by the end of this holiday season.
