As a Rawson Properties franchisee, you remain an independent entity and operator. However, you are also our partner and receive our ongoing and pro-active support, training and systems, as well as the power of being backed by a national brand.
Costs are dependent on a large number of factors including the size of the territory in respect of which trading rights are granted, the property sales activity in the area, the existing goodwill associated with the brand in the area and office set-up requirements.
It also depends on whether one is buying an existing operation or setting up a new operation in a previously unoccupied territory. A once-off premium is payable for the franchise (informed by the aforementioned factors). In addition, one would require working capital to invest in one's business. An ongoing royalty and marketing levy is also payable.
The list is a long one (and can be supplied upon request) but it includes:
- Exclusive sales and letting rights to trade under the Rawson brand with respect to your exclusive geographical area (note: should you for whatever reason wish to ever sell your Rawson business, you will receive the purchase price obtained for your area - we would help facilitate the transaction)
- All the Rawson training you will ever require or wish to go on (as a minimum requirement we require all our franchisees and agents to attend and pass our 10-day Introductory Property Sales Course)
- A comprehensive Franchise Operations Manual (hard-copy and CD), covering everything you need to know about managing your business (including legal letter templates for appointing staff, presenting valuations, requesting commissions etc)
- Our computerised estate agency business management software (linked to our website and Business Referrrals Centre), which we have developed over the last seven years
- Your own web presence
- Automatic exposure of all your listings on Rawson website as well as prominent property portals such as PropertyGenie
- Ongoing newspaper origination/design services free of charge
- Business management consulting and advice
- Participation in an extensive referral network with dedicated personnel managing referrals
- Automatic inclusion of you and your agents in our recognition/awards programmes and networking events
